Celebrating love in all the right places...

We had yet another holiday to celebrate yesterday. I swear they come up with holidays just to give people more reasons to stress and feel like we have to get it right or the lives of those we love will be forever ruined and they won’t feel loved enough, leading to therapy down the road because childhoods are so messed up. Ok maybe not that bad, but seriously who all can relate in feeling this insane amount of pressure to make your loved ones feel loved on all holidays. Including Valentines. Lucky for me, I married a man who always wants his girls to feel special, so this year we decided to make our valentines a family event. My 8 year old son and hubby, sent the girls (my 3 daughters and I) away to gets pedicures while they grocery shopped for, and prepped us a delicious dinner. I love the idea that my son can learn how to love his sisters and mother well by serving us with a beautiful dinner. Teaching him how to treat a lady right. Anyway, it was so wonderful and let me tell you, it was restaurant quality ribeye steaks, Texas road house style Brussels sprouts (blanched and all), and yummy sour cream and chive mashed potatoes, complete with a decorated table with rose petals and chocolates. I’m already looking forward to next years dinner.

Dinner fit for a queen
