Rocking the Rock-wall

Well it's that time of year where Christmas is over, it's still winter with cold and dreary short days. We tend to get a little stir crazy at home so we head to our local gym for some fun. 3 years ago we cancelled our beloved YMCA membership to join a gym with our friends. I still miss working out next to sweet older people wearing their socks with sandals and jeans to workout in, but our new gym seemed to have more to offer year round for the family, like a giant indoor swimming pool, and a room full of walls to rock climb on. So when we want to do something fun we head over to climb. My husband grew up in Chattanooga and had many adventures of outdoor rock climbing, so naturally he gets excited for his kids to experience the same. Now keep in mind, our children are 10, 8, 7, and 4, so they can tend to be a little fearful when trying something new. But like always, by the time we are ready to leave the Rockwall, they are racing each other to the top.

We spent several hours playing on the wall.

The ropes are automatic belays so they catch you automatically when you let go.
